RECORD OPERATIONS
(Per Press Asisociation.) WELLINGTON, May 7. The working of the Publio Trust Office for'the year ended 31st March 4ast resulted in a profit of £,f0,150 on the year's operations. This is a record for the office. District offices, in charge of the permanent officers of the Department, have been, opened at Taihape and Dannevirke, and arrangements* are complete for similar action to be taken with" regard to Palmerston North, Hamilton and Blenheim. It is proposed to terminate the agencies at Ximaru and.Ashburton, and to appoint permanent officers at these places at &,u early da.te ; also to improve the facilities for carrying on business at Hastings. A forward step has also been taken in conjunction with the keeping of estate accounts. During June next nil accounts relating to estates under, administration at Irivercargill, Napier, Wanganui, Han-era, and Nelson will be transferred from the head offce, and will in future be kept locally. .
