WESTPORT HARBOUR BOARD

WESTPORT, May 7.
At the Westport Harbour Board's meeting to-day, objection was taken by two elected members (representing the town and country respectively) to proceeding with the election of a chairman until the Government had made the expected fresh appointment of its nominee member or members. A motion in that direction was defeated. Mr. W. T. Jlee, [tfco retiring chairman, was reelected on a majority vote of four to three.
