OUR BOY SCOUTS.

The parade state of the St. Andrew's Troop on Saturday last was 44 Scouts and four officers, total 48. After pray, ers by the Chaplain, and the general salute, a squad under Assistant S.M. Prince went out to *'do their gowl turn by helping a widow woman in her garden; a patrol under Patrol Leader Haig set to work cleaning the Church paths, weeding, etc., while the balance of the boys under S.M. Weir were duly instructed in Scout craft, ably assisted by acting Sergt. E. Laws and Patrol Leaders Campbell, Harrison and Linssen. During the afternoon Patrol Le&d"ers Haig, Campbell and Linssen and Corp, Campbell were awarded the cook's badge, Patrol Leader Harrison received his cyclist's badge, and Scout E, Webby his second class badge. Four new boys were received as members, and haxl their scarves and staves issued to them. The Troop is busy preparing for a big display in the coming Peace Day procession. Sergt.-Major Taylor, who is in charge of St. Andrew's No. 2, journeyed to Upper Aramoho and instructed the Scouts there in stave drill, knotting, signs, and salutes. One now boy was received as a member, and there is still a few vacancies for lads willing to join, and who have their parents' consent. The next parade will be at the Presbyterian Church, Upper Aramoho, at 3 o'clock next Saturday.
