Six large meat carriers are being luilt on the Tvne for the FederaJ, Shay Savill, and the Commonwealth and Dominion lines. Hawthorn and Leslie have nearly completed the Port Nicholson for the Dominion Line. She ;.s five hundred teet long, .md of V2,'iM:i tons dead weight. Swan and Hunter are building two for tiie Federal line, «'.nd the Palmer Company is building a third. Two have iieen launched :>y Armstrong and Wlutworth's, and the Pnlmer Company are building one for the Shaw feavill Co. The mst live \till he 450 feet; long, and will carry !:200 tons of meat eaen.
