THE CHRISTCHURCH FATALITY.
POST MORTEM NOT HELD.
(Per Press Association.) '■~,'', CHRISTCHURCH, May 5
The puost mortem on David Henderson Brown who died in hospital on Friday, could not be held, as the body had been buried. When the coroner resumed the inquiry this afternoon he said it had not been expected that this examination would disclose anything as to how the accident happened, but the doctors wished to make sure of the exact nature of deceased's injuries. However, by some mistake the body was taken away and buried before a post mortem examination could be held. The coroner said that accordingly he would return his verdict, which was to the effect that Brown died of injuries received through be£ng run over by a motorcar driven by Charles Major Barnett. There was no evidence of negligent driving.
