ANZAC DAY.
ACTING PREMIER'S APPEAL

WELLINGTON, April 23
The following appeal has been issued by the Acting Prime Minister: "The Government has decided that April 25th (Anzac Day) be observed by Government departments as a close - in order that the general pujdc may suitably reoognjise the memorable occasion. I should be glad if mayors and heads of other local authorities concerned will arrange for the day to he observed as a holiday.
