FINANCE COMMITTEE. j Valuation of Fire Brigade Plant.— The committee recommend that the Firo Board be informed that the Council is trilling to dispose of this plant alt. the value placed upon it by its valuer, viz., i .£1673. 7/6. -Educational Film Co.—The committee, cannot recommend that the Couu.ciT subsidise this company tor the purpose of showing pictures of Wanganui. .^.Pictures on Good Friday.—The conixruitee considered applications to show pictures on G"ood Friday in His Majesty's and the Grand Theatres, and has given permission to do so, subject to the programrawes being approved by ;, CJr* Thompson, chairman of the Opera House Committee.
