THE LAND LAWS.
AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE

WELLINGTON, April 22
The Minister of Lands has convened a conference of Commissioners of Crown Lands to meet in Wellington on April 28th to discuss the general administration of the land laws iof the country by land boards. One of the objects of the conference is to secure uniformity in the plan of administration. Amongst matters to be discussed will be the settlement of discharged soldiers on the land and the advisability of amendment or improvement of the law. The Minister has asked boards to send in suggestions and remits dealing with questions affecting their districts.
