The Imperial Government is taking steps to restrict passengers from .booking passages to England, owing to the large number of troops that are waiting ships at Indian and South African ports to convey them to England.
Broken by an occasional thunderstorm, the long spell of intense heat continues. 98 degrees was registered in the city to-day.
