Received October 6, 5.5 p.m. NEW YORK, October 4. General March, in an interview, says: "The news from the front is excellent. Offensives are being conr ducted in three major fronts. The German resistance on the left has stiffened, keeping us in check, but the delay cannot last long, because the enemy is in desperate straits for reserves, and there are no lines ahead of us which, our men cannot break."
