BOARD'S TERRITORY
A NEW RIDING CREATED

At the monthly meeting of Rangitikei County Council, a letter was received from Wanganui County Council in reference to the proposed alteration of County boundaries and suggesting that the alteration- take place from October 1, 1.915. The Rangitikei County Council passed the formal resolution agreeing to the alteration as from the date mentioned, on the under, standing that the general rates for the current year would be struck by the Wanganui County Council in the meantime.
The area which it is proposed to include in Rangitikei comprises the recently merged Upper Wangpehu Road District, subject to ?. lis;ht modification on the western side. The Rangitikei County Council has decided that the added territory shall constitute a new riding of Rangitikei County to be called the Ruanui Riding, which Khali be entitled to elect one Councillor to the Rangitikei County Council.
