VARIOUS ITEMS.
After many days there seems to be a chance of arriving at some finality about the price to be paid for cheese. Added to the offer there is the usual whisper of a probable lack of shipping to take the stuff home. It may be i/ist an unfortunate way of wording the armour cement of the price offered, or it may be a sort of "take that or nothing" offer, which does not seem to fit in with many people's idea of a square deal.
The Waverley Town Board has decided to offer the lease of its reserve known as the 'pound section' by public auction. As this site seems to be the only place in Waverley on which sanitary saleyards can be erected, it should be keenly competed for.
Corporal Hone, of Kohl, has retnrned from France.
Judging by the number of cars that came to Waverley races, there is still money to burn in the Dominion.
Both diphtheria and scarlet fever have made their appearance here.
