An Auckland wire says that Rev. Father Michael Tormey, who was m charge of Ellerslie parish church, died suddenly in the street, as a result, of a sudden heart seizure while walking rapidly ijp a hill. __ The news that Miss Sylvia Duigan, rourth daughter of Mrs James Duigan, or "Haunui,'' Goiuille, passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon, will be received with, sincere regret by ia larg'i circle of friends. Deceased had been ailing for only a few days, and was 'Staying with her brother, Mr C. L. Duigan, at his residence, Wickstee-i Street. Her deash came as a great shock to her relatives. She was a general favourite, and was beloved by all. 10 tlie sorrowing relatives we extend our sincere sympathy in their sad bereavement.
The ,late Mr Henjry \ Springer, of Alma Road, who died oh Friday last, at the age of 51 years, passed awa,> with painful suddenness. He was employed as a carpenter at the Imiar freezing Works, and at knocking-off time on Friday he fell to the ground 'and expired. The deceased, who was an old resident of Wanganui, was very highly respected by all who knew him, •and the news of his death came as a distinct shock. He was a member at the Foresters' Lodge, the members of which attended the funeral, which too'v place on Sunday afternoon.
