SINN FEINERS.
INDEPENDENT IRISH. REPUBLIC WANTED.
LONDON, October 26
Six thousand seven hundred delegates to the Sinn Fein Convention met at the Mansion House in Dublin, including many young priests. The provisional constitution was unanimously adopted, creating an independent Irish llepublic, pledging the meeting to make use of any and" every means to render England's power impotent. The Conference passed a resolution that Ireland should present a claim for restitution and relation from England at the Peace Conference. 11 was also recommended to ask Irish Trade Unions to sever their affiliation with English Unions. The Countess Markieviczs opposition to the election of MacNeil to the executive caused a scene. She declared he had spoiled the Easter rebellion plans. Mrs Clarke, widow of the executed rebel, also condemned MacNeil amid excitement, but his election was carried.
