At a meeting last night in connection with a fund to provide a Church. Army hut on the West front, the Rev. <J. H. Grant-Cowen said that there were some 500 to 600 families in Hawera belonging to the Anglican Church

A huge rata tree, some five feet in diameter, fell across the track on Monday night about three miles from the Dawson Falls House, and blocked the traffic until removed by means or dynamite.
