FRENCH MAKE FURTHER ADVANCE.
LONDON, Oct. 25. A French communique states that the situation in the North Aisne sector in the region of Braye en Laonnois, and Chavignon, is unchanged. At night-time we re-advanced on the Chavignon - Mont Desiges front and reached Nozay Farm. Over five-hun-dred of the enemy have been taken prisoner since last night; An enemy surprise attack at Sapio-. neul bridgehead, which was preceded by a violent bombardment, failed. Twenty-five enemy aeroplanes have been downed.
