They spokp in glowing terms cj: the operations >n progress. The ptsturos and lucerne were an eye-opener to them. , The fat cattle grazing on lucerne are a picture to see, and the party expressed the opinion that the Momahaki Ayrshire herd is, without doubt, the finest m Australasia.

Ryeland sheep and Berkshire pi^s we-ro greatly admired; in fact. th°y spenk for themselves with regard iquality, and tie larty departed highly pleased. It must bo understood thai, all the visitors ire first-class practical farmers and breeders of live stock, and their enconiums f.-ust be very gratifying indeed, not tr.ly to the manager Air Lonsdale, and his staff, but also to the West Coast, which is the possessor ot such a highly-prized agricultural institution. x-he difficulties Mr Lonsdale has had to encounter owing to changing staff—so many members having gone from the pastures of Moumahaki to the fields of France —havo been enormous; yet, as a result of his resourcefulness and managing capabiiitins, Mr Lonsdnle has been able to keen the flag flying from the highest peak of successful development and productveiiess.
