POSITION AGAIN ACUTE. v
Received October 10, 9.15 p.m* SYDNEY, October 10..; The shipping position is again acute. In anticipation of the resumption the merchants attempted to load quantities of foodstuffs for New Zealand. They placed large orders for fr-uit, which were loaded on boats ready to sail, but had to be discharged. The Union Company, which expected to despatch five steamers this week, had to pay off the crews. They are awaiting developments in Melbourne.
