(Per Press Association.) I NAPIER, September 3. The amounts subscribed through the Napier Banks wa.s £410,000; Napier Post Office £80,167, and other Post Offices £92,285. CHRISTCHURCH, September 3. Very brisk War Loan business was done at the Post Office to-day, the building being invaded by crowds of people. Tne following investments were made to-day:—4i per cent. War bonds, £5160,250; War Loau Certificates, £29,332; Post Office War bonds, £52,500; total for the day, £242,082. GISBORNE, September 3. War Loan.—Post Office, £62,000; local banks, £232,000; total for Poverty Ba,v, £294,000. PALMERSTON N... September 3. The total amount contributed by Palnierston North is :—Post Office War Bonds, £18,880; 44 per cent. War Bonds, £10,820: Posit Office Certificates, £30,600; Bank of N.Z., £53,700; Bank of Australasia, £20,000; Union Bank, £18,910; National Bank, £4150; Bank of New South Wales, £4000 : Bagnail and Keeble (brokers). £11,400. Total £172,380. NAPIER, September 3. The Napier Park Club has invested £0000 in the War Loan. NEW PL x MOUTH, September 3. The Harbour Board sinking fund commissioners have invested JE3OOO in the War Loan, and the Taranaki Jockey Club .£SOO. DUNEDIN, September 3. The following local applications for participation in the War Loan were mado to-day : —Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Co., £26,350; Dunedin Savings Bank, £2U,000; Ivanhoe Druids' Lodge, £500; Chas. Begg and Co., Ltd., £10,000; United Otago District Foresters, £2000; Victoria Insurance Co., £10,000; il. Hudson and Co., £•'15.000; Thomson and Co., £5000. INVERCARGILL, Sept. 3. Invercargill Post Office has taken £236,000 for the War Loan, and the city banks have handled £63,000. The country banks' returns have still to come iv, so that the complete figures will be well over £300,000.

AT HUNTERVILLE.

An amount of £39,400 was subscribed. At Runterville a total of £42,200 was subscribed. Private subscriptions included one amount of £15,000. one of £4000, one of £25,000, and eight separate amounts of £2800.
