DYSENTRY IN AUSTRIA AND GERMANY.
BERNE, September. 2. The epidemic of dysentery is general in Germany and Austria, and is attributed to malnutrition. The patients are unable to get good milk owing to the German War Office incercepting supplies and extracting the nitro-glycerine. The War Office even intercepts Swiss milk at the frontier, though Germany pleaded she must be allowed to import from Switzerland, otherwise babies and young children would die. The Aus-tro-German Governments are seeking to allay public fears by announcing that new foods have been invented to replace milk.
