POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS.
The chief postmaster (Mr W. Beswick) wrote in regard to the night clearance of letter receiving boxes. The hour had varied from 11.0 p.m. to midnight, but as the work had trebled, '<t was now proposed to have a universal clearing time of 11.0 n.m. for all boxes.
