JN DIVORCE

Sitting in -divorce his Honor dealt with the following undefended cases: —Bowern- (Mf. C. B. Mackay) v. Bo.wern, husband's petition, decree nisi, to .be made absolute in three months; Hopkins (Mr. C. E. Mackay) v. Hopkins, husband's petition, decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months.

CONZA y. THE POLICE.

This was an. appeal against a conviction tor theft of certain potatoes. Mr. Marshall appeared for the police and Mr. C. E. Mackay for the appellant. After hearing the case for the police and the evidence of the appellant, his Honour.stopped the case and allowed the appeal. His Honor added that Conza had got himself into an unfortunate position by attempting to help Faulknerj instead of helping the police. Faulkner's appeal was abandoned.
