Mr. Julius Price, official correspondent on the Italian front, says that, the advance has given the Italians possession of 93 miles of splendid country, including- the strongest portion of the Austrian line on tiio
■iiddle Isonzo. Already a great number of guns and a vast amount of material have been captured. Pris oners an enclosures total over two divisions. An important fact is that the victory is still unfinished. The Italians are advancing with amazing rapidity. Military highways are being constructed with lightning speed, and guns, ammunition, water and supplies are being pushed forward over Bainsizza Plateau. German newspapers assert that Hindenburg, at the War Council, urgp.d that the Plateau was untenable, but Conrad insisted on the necessity of holding it at all costs as it commanded the strategic line between Tolmino and Gorizia.
