Gabled advice was received yesterday by Mrs. A. Stokes, Victoria Avenue, that her son, E. J. Stokes, had been killed in action.

Word has been received by Mrs.. Neylon-Biitler, Kelbtirne Parade, Wellington, that her son, Gunner William Neylon, was wounded during the recent big offensive. Gunner Neylon left witli the 10th Reinforcements, and on arrival in France volunteered and was accepted for the trench mortar-battery section.
