AFRICAN EXPLORER AT ARAMOHO.

Mr. Broome Smith, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a great African explorer, will speak at St. Laurence's. Hall this (Thursday) evening at 8, in connection with the great missionary exhibition in October, 1917. Patrons are more particularly asked to be' seated at 7.45 p.m.. There will be a small charge of sixpence for admission. Mr. Broome Smith has spent 23 years of his life in Africa. To be tied up for three days awaiting the pleasure of a drunken chief to pronounce the death sentence has been his experience. He saved the lives of seven persons at a cannibal feast as his fee for successfully performing a most difficult and seemingly hopeless operation.
