Following -Is the 27th nrmual report of Tho Wanganui Meat Kreezing Company, to be presented ; -,t the annual meeting; on the 29th inst.:— Your directors Imo pleasure in presenting the annual report- and balance sheet, nm! in drawing attention to the satisfactory results of the year's operations, in view of the great reduction of shipping space available. After providing £4?61 .Is 8d for depreciation • there remains the sum of £15,1.79 18s. for allocation. Your Board recomm-iuls that this sum be applied a* follov/s, viz.:— To pay n. dividend of 8 p.c. £4241 19 2 ITo place to Reserve Acct. 2000 0 0 'To ?)lacc to equalisation of dividend reserve 1000 0 0 Carry forward balance ... 7937 '18 10 £15,179 18 0 In accordance with the request -?x----presscd by the Prime Minister, tho company is now erecting a new store with a capacity of 148.000 cubic feet, which will enable us to store 14,000 crates of cheese, and an additional 30,000 freight carcases of mutton. This additional storage, your directors have every confidence, will be ready for the ensuing season. •

Tho company's buildings, plant, and lighters havens usual, been thoroughly maintained. '.

The retiring directors are' Messrs. E. A. Campbell, Alfred Burnett and John Stevenson, who, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election. Should no further nominations be received by the 21st inst., the above-named gentlemen will be re-elected. If an election is necessary owing to further nominations, full particulers with voting paper will be sent you bpfore the meeting. Messrs F. C. Millward and Edward Martell Silk are.elected auditors, there being r%> other nominations.
