MARY PICKFORD, IN "LESS THAN THE DUST."
Commencing next Thursday, the management of The Grand will present Laura Hope's popular Indian love poem, "Less Than the Dust," witih the world's favourite, Mary Pickford, in the first picture produced by her own company. The success of thi s picture has been •wonderful. At New York over 40,000 people in one day viewed this picture, where it was screened at three different theatres. The settings of the story are laid in India and England, and are claimed to be of an attractive nature "Less Than the Dust" tells an unusually connected and convincing love story. Although displaying much of her pleasing juvenile comedy, Miss Pickford essayed in this piece an emotional role of much appeal and with success. "Less Than the Dust," with Miss Pickford, s decidedly more of a "play" than mo^t motion picture dramas. The box plan tor reserved scats will be on view at " The Grand" booking office, next Monday morning.
