GARRISON BAND.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Wanganui Garrison Band waa held la*t night, Mr J. Cv Richardson (one of the trustees) presiding* Mr G. Spriggens, another of the trustees, was present, and an apology was received from Mr N. Meuli.
The report showed that since th« baud commenced collecting for tne patriotic funds £204 had been raised hv bnnd open-air concerts, and £119 by inside recitals, a total of £323. Tn addition the band had assisted on numerous patriotic occasions.
The feporb concluded with reference to the good feeling existing between the band and the officrs and staff of th« 7th Regiment. The following officers were elected :-r^ Acting-conductor, Mr J. Trussell (also hon..secretary); treasurer, Mr D. Williams ; minute secretary. Mr N. Spxirdle; committee, Messrs H. Norfchey. S. Signal, M. Bowes, A. Guthrie. Jno. MeGrath; property master, Mr S. Signal; librarian. Mr H. Hall; assistant Übri» rian, Mr W. Edwards. A motion expressing regret in connection with Mr N, Menu's illness wai carried nnanimoosly.
