CONDOLENCE
A vote of condolence was passed to S 6 la. tlves «f t]>e late Mr Fraser. lhe Chairman said Mr Fraser had been a member of the Board for many years, and had taken a very keen interest in hospital matters.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
A further six months' leave of absence was granted to Mr Finkyson, the former secretary of the Board, who ls absent from the Dominion on military service.
4 NEW MEMBER,
The Rangitikei County Council wrote appointing Mr Simpson as their representative,, and the latter was welcomed on taking .his seat. The Chairman mentioned that Mr Simpson's father had one of the loncrl est terms of service ag a member of the Board. MISCELLANEOUS. The Medical Superintendent reported 135 patients were admitted to the Wanganui Hospital during the month and at August Ist there were 133 pal tients in the institution. Ten died. At tha Taihape Hospital 14 patients were admitted during the month, and at August Ist there were 11 in the institution. Two died. Miss T. E. Lowes, of Orini, was placed on the probationer nurses' list n Messrs Dexters' tender was accepted inr bedside lockers.
