i I'or Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. High southerly winds have predominated. The weather has been cold and <lnll, with rain in most parts of the Dominion, and snow on the high levels. The barometer has fallen in the north, Taut has risen in the south. Presentindications are for strong south-wester-ly to soiith-easterlv winds, with cold, squally and showery conditions, especially in the northern and East Coast districts, the barometer rising everywhere.
