ENEMY'S LINES EVERYWHERE PENETRATED.

LONDON, April 9. Sir DougJas Haig attacked at 5.30 th:s morning on a wide front and penetrated, the enemy's lines everywhere, from southward of Arras to southward of Lens, progressing satisfactorily at all points.

The British stormed the villages at Hermies and Boursies in the direction, of Cambrai, and penetrated Havricourt Wood, captured Fresney-le-Petit, in the direction of St. Quentin, and advanced their line south and eastward of Le Verguir.

A considerable number of prisoners were taken.
