FEILDING J.C. EASTER MEETING.

JMULTICIPAL WINS FEILDING CUP. (By Our Special Reporter.) Beautiful weatner, a large attendance, big fields, and close and interesting racing contributed m making tne Feilding j.C. Easter niaetmg an unqualified success. The course was rattier, on the hard side, the ground being in need of rain to take tne stuig ova Of it. The recent improvements erfectcd by the Club were greatly appreciated by tne public. The,new totalisator house, in particular, was a great improvement upon the old order of things, and it worked smoothly and efficiently throughout the day. Hupana led rrom start to finish in tne opening event, an example that was followed by Sweet Tipperary in the IMang.aone Stakes, the King's Guest mare running ILe distance in the smart time of 1.13 4-5. The Cup provided a stirring finisii between Analogue and Multicipal, the latter -winning by a neck. Th,e hurdle events were productive of good contests, and the racing all through was : lull of interest. The management of the meeting left nothing to be desired. It-was decidedly a. day of big dividends for winning horses. A noteworthy feature .of the management was the prompt closing down of the totalisator. Speculation was very brisk throughout, the sum of £31,235 being machined as against £26,848 on the first day of last year, an increase of £4,387.
