M -Wight was a member of the Escoming to tins Dominion he joined the Presbytjman Church of New Zealand! Y-aX ' the I tlme of his death he had been a member for nearly ha fa century The- deceased came to Wan" ganui East about fi*e years ago and resided amongst us up till the time of j m by a few months. He was a man h-S death His wire had pre-deceas^l whom I highly esteecmed and respected. He ,vas a. kind and sympathetic lather, and was both straightforward and honest in all his dealings. He was also plain and outspoken, and if he had a thing to say about anyone he did not go behind their back to say it. He took a keen interest in our little church, and rejoiced with us when the forward step was taken a year ago He leaves behind him two sons, who are married and reside in Wanganui ■hast, also two daughters, one married and residing in South Canterbury the other unmarried and well known to us ah. To his sorrowing children and relatives we would tender our sincerest sympathy. And may we all strive to take to heart the lesson God would teach,, us by such dispensations of His Providence. May we hear His voice say to us, "Therefore be ye also rendy, tor m such an hour as ye think jidt, the Son of Man cometh." '
