Referring to a German statement that the: cruiser Newcastle was mined and sunk on the 15th ins:.. 27 of the crew being killed and 45 wounded, the Admiralty denies it as a fabrication, stating that no vessel was sunk in the North Sea between the 12th and 18th. i
