At a meeting of representatives of eeamen, miners, and watereiders to discuss the proposals to prevent the* shipping of coal to Australia, the seamen strongly opposed the proposals (1) to limit the quantity of bunker coal for hospital ships and transports to what the miners consider reasonable; (2) to limit the ships for 'Australia to sufficient coal to carry them to the port of destination; (3) the Admiralty not to be supplied with coal at an Australian port. The seamen agreed that no coal cargoes be shipped to Australia.
