TO-DAY'S SPECIAL EFFORT.
Citizens will, we feel sure, make a generous response to the MiVlfary Hospital Guild's special appeal to-day. The Guild is in need of funds for its Red Cross work, and to-day's effort will take the form of a street fair in a small scale, with stalls for the sale of farm produce, flowers, sweets, home-made delicacies, etc. An additional attraction will take the for of an exhibition of war trophies—Turkish, Egyptian and South African—which will be under the management of a returned soldier, at 21 Victoria Avenue, next Messrs Young and Collins's, for which a small admission charge of 6d will -ie made.
