SWANKERS' CLUB

A wall-attended and enthusiasts meeting of the committee of the* Swankers' Club was held last night, when further arrangements were made in connection with the Seaside Carnival on Boxing Day. The public will be ,well catered for. as there will be refreshment tents, a sweet bazaar, Punch and Judy Show, an entertainment by a famous * 'ventriloquist," and many other diverting side-shows. A novel item on the programme of fun and frolic will be the pulling tortoise. Donkey and pony rides for the children have been arranged, and the kiddies should long remember the first Seaside Carnival.organised by the Swankers. The Games Committee have in hand the following:—Aunt Sally, shooting gallery, "ring the coin," and other kindred games of skill, and there will be a hr.se "buried treasure" 'hunt. Altogether, so thoroughly have the various committees gone into their work that no stone will' be left unturned to provide an enjoyable day's outing for everyone.
