DEATH OF MR FRANK STEWART
Mangaweka has just gone into mourning over the unexpected death of Mr. Frank {Stewart, tile, well-known bookseller and stationer of that town. The deceased had been ailing for some time and recently he went to Wellington to consult Dr. Hardwicke-Smith, with the result that he found the treatment he was receiving from Dr. Seipill, at Mangaweka, was consistent with the best and most approved methods. He returned home, but his cheery and optimistic nature gave everyone a false impression as to the conditon of his health. The end came with dramatic suddenness on Thursday night. The deseased was the second son of the late Mr and Mrs G. V. Stewart, who were early settlers in Marton. For the past 20 years he took "an rctive interest in the, affairs- of the town, and was always ready to assist with its advancement. He was 42 years of age, and leaves a wife and one child to mourn their loss. The interment took place at Mangaweka.
