AMUSEMENTS, MEETING &C

"SEVEN SISTERS," FEATURING MARGUERITE CLARK, AT HIS MAJESTY'S TO-NIGHT.

Patrons of His Majesty's Theatre may anticipate a genuine film treat tonight. Marguerite Clark, the damty young actress, will appear in her greatest triumph, "Seven Sisters." The picture has attracted great crowds everywhere, and it therefore behoves intending patrons to be early or to reserve seats. The production is 5.500 ft long, and the film is by the Famous Players Company, and is an admirable art achievement. "The Seven Sisters" is heralded as the cleanest, brightest, most sparkling, and altogether delightful screen creation since "Gretna Green," in which Marguerite Clark won the hearts of all. Any photo-play tha-t is as good, let aione better, than "Gretna Green," is worth travelling some distance to see. The play opens with Marguerite in a convent, from which she is expelled in consequence of her predilection for love affairs. She is sought in marriage by a lieutenant but she has seven sisters, and the laws of her country forbid the younger to marry before her older sisters are disuosed of. However, as there is no other way out, the loving couple puzzle their wits and set to work to marry oft' tne sisters. The episodes which lead up to the accomplishment of the iarge contract go to form one of the most charming photoplays imaginable. A picked programme will include "The Swiss River Village," "Wonderful Organisation of the R.A. Medical Corps," (official), "Fresh Water Fish," a capital coloured study by Patbe, and the most recent "War Gazette." Bumper houses are assured.
