GARRISON BAND CONCERT.

AT THE RACECOURSE

It is hardly necessary to remind our readers of the concert to be given by the Garrison Band in the ornamental grounds of the racecourse to-morrow afternoon, commencing at 3 o'clock. The object of this performance is to rase funds to assist tlie Red Cross work, and no doubt the public will attend in large numbers, and liberally subscribe to the collection for so worthy and urgent a cause. The programme is in keeping with the past traditions of the band. That fine standard overture "Zampa" will be given, also an excellent fantasia, "Simeon," a portion of which contains some realistic church bell effects. Mr H. Northev will play a cornet solo entitled "Tfll My'Sou'i Be Free," with full band accompaniment. The other numbers to h'» given are equally good. The continued excellence of the band's playing is tod well known to require any further comment, and a most enjoyable time is assured to those who visit the racecourse to-morrow.

Tho Trinity Guild met on Tuesday night, and the members spent a pleasant evening together. The subject was "The Journal," and quite a number e;ave extracts which were greatly appreciated.
