TURKS MOVING TOWARDS EGYPT.
THE BRITISH IN READINESS.
Received July 23, 5.50 p.m. LONDON, July 22. The War Office states that a Turkish force advanced westward. of El Arish to five miles east of Katia, where they are entrenching. Our mounteds are incontact with the enemy. The Commander-in-chief in Egypt has* taken measures to deal with the situation. Hostile aircraft attacked Suez yes. terday, causing a few casualties. El Arish is an Egyptian town on the Mediterranean, at the pouth of the Wady-el-Arish, held to maxk the boundary between Egypt and Syria, Africa and Asia.
