GERMAN ACCOUNT OF SOMME FIGHTING.
Received July 23, 7.50 p.rn AMSTERDAM, July 22. A German communique says: The enemy's strong attack by over 200,000 on both banks of the Somme failed. The enemy captured only three kilometres of our front on a line southwards of Hardecourt.
