A TEACHER'S PROTEST.

REPLY TO DENTAL ASSOCIATION

j At the last meeting of the Aramoho School Committee the following letter, which it was decided to hand to. the Press, was received from the Headmaster of the Aramoho School: — Sir, —In the report of the Education I Board's last meeting there appeared a statement that the Dental Association had forwarded a circular or letter to the 1 borough and suburban schools asking i the headmasters for facilities in regard' to the examination of children's teeth, and that only two had shown the courtesy to reply. As headmaster of this school I beg leave to give that statement the most unqualified contradiction. No such circular or letter ever reached me. Had it done so it would certainly have been acknowledged. It seems to me that before the Dental Association brought before the Education Board an accusation of such discourtesy it should have made sure of its facts. Whatever the request of the Dental Association may have been (and I do not even yet know it) it would al least have received consideration from, and probably consultation by the headmasters of the borough and suburban schools. The Dental Association's secretary states that replies were received from only two teachers. I know two, besides myself, who state that the communication never reached them. Your obedient servant, JAMES K. LAW. Headmaster.
