THE TREATMENT OF PRISONERS.
LONDON.. May 4. The Press Bureau states that die American Embassy in Berlin reports that British officers are imprisoned at Burg and Magdeburg in separate cells. They are allowed orily two hours' exerer=e"in the prison yard daily, when th<;y are permitted to converse. Germany declared she would afford the same treatment as given to submarine pnsonI'ers when Mr. Page is able to report. Mr. Page now reports that there is no solitary confinement of submarine prisoner^ hut they have separate bedrooms. The officers mess together and the men do the same. The officers have servants, a gymnasium, outdoor and indoor recreation quarters, and their accommodation is excellent. The reports udd that Britain and Germany allow hooks and tobacco, and the food/is good. Britain provides money.
