THE SAVILLE CUP.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. March 23. Play for the Saville Cup began at Hagley Park to-day in the presence of a large number of spectators. The weather, though dull and misty, was line. The playing ground was in excellent condition. The competition was under the general supervision of Mr R. Le?m, secretary of the New Zealand Polo Association. Results of to-days matches: Hawarden 19 beat-Rangiora 3; Hawke s Bay 10 beat Pareora 4 ; Poverty Bay 4 beat Hawke's Bay A 1.
