A fire at St. Louis practically de--royed the whole of the city block, hough every available fireman was on le seen© shortly after the start, the fire >t beyond control, and the place be>m& a seething mass of flames. The K>f caved in, carrying down several K>rs. Twenty out of 135 people who had Kane in the building nave been ac►unted for. The bodies of seven who mped from the fourth floor were found the street. It is believed that over a tndred perished.
