TRIBUTES BY CANADIAN PARLIAMENT.
OTTAWA, January 21. When Parliament opened, Mr. Borden paid a tribute to Lord Strathooria, wjho, he said, was a great Imperial figure. He saw Canada transformed foam a small people to the greatest Dominion under the British flag. Sir Wilfrid Lauirier referred to Lord Strathcona's splendid ability, whjich led to the construction •of the Transcontinental railway across the Dominionj in the face of Innumerable difficulties.
Mr. Barden, on behalf of the Canadian people, sent a message to Lord Stnathvon&'s relatives. -
Sir Charles Tupper will probably re^ present Canada at the •funeral.
The House adjourned as a mark of
respect.
