DROWNING ACCIDENT.
CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 15
A man named Thomas Tasker Harris was drowned in the Selwyn river near the fishing huts on Sunday. At the inquest evidence was given that the deceased fell dnto the river while under the influence of liquor. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
