LONDON, Dec .15. The streets of Leeds are unswept and unlit. Many churches dispensed with evening service. Civilians"" are maintaining a limited gas supply,, nnd nn effective electric tram service in the day" time. The strikers threaten to block coal supplies. The municipality contends that the strikers ar© well paid", the gas-workers, who are in the majority, receiving 25s to 41s per week the street cleaners 25s to 345., electricity workers 27s to 395.. and highway employees 265.
