IMPROVED FLAXMILLING MACHINERY
COMPETITORS FOR GOVERNMENT
BONUS

A special meeting of the "Flaxmillers*" Association was held to-day to consideithe Government's offer of a bonus of £12,000 for improved flaxmilling machinery. There are forty applicants for the bonus. A committee was set up to. examine the applications and to "test, such of the competing machines or processes as it is considered- worthy ofr trial, and'to make recommendations tothe Government as to the payment of the bonus. A committee was also appointed to arrange for power. t It wasdecided that the committee would be ready for inspection of the machinerjr from the third Monday in Jaaiuary to* Aoril 30th.
